Positive psychology aims to not only free individuals of psychopathology but to help them live a fulfilling life. By focusing on self-efficacy, individual strengths and virtues, and positive outcomes, positive psychology encourages individuals to strive to do their best. Positive psychologists use reward rather than punishment to help people learn to think positively and learn how to be happy.
