You need a passport to cross from the U. S. into Canada. Provided that your legal matters are resolved, you should have no difficulties.

You can still cross the border into Canada if you have a DUI. The border control will not arrest you or anything since it was in another country and there are different laws about DUI in various countries.

I'm assuming that you have a DUI and you are not allowed to drive. Get someone to drive you there. You could also take an airplane or maybe a bus.

You likely won't get across without spending some serious money. It will cost you a lawyer and getting it off of your record, which won't come cheap. I do know that sometimes the guards will allow you across once but won't allow you to come and go.
