It is just made from less harsh cleaning agents. Since it's made for babies, they need a gentler cleansing solution for their hair and skin anyway.

Johnson's Baby Shampoo doesn't use as harsh of chemicals as other brands so it can boast it's "tear free" qualities. It is still just as cleansing to the hair, however it's very gentle.

It's just got a lot of water in it and is a lot gentler than regular shampoo. It doesn't use as many harmful detergents, which are the ingredients that sting your eyes. It cleans your hair just as much as regular shampoo, but remember to use a conditioner or your hair will start to feel like straw!

It contains less abrasive chemicals and quite a few very effective natural ingredients to clean your hair. It is actually just as good as other brands for properly cleaning hair.
