How does a tadpole turn into a frog?

By the process of metamorphosis. Though temperature and environment, and breed of frog, all play a part in how long it takes. It grows it's back legs first, then the front. Finally its tail falls off and it "becomes" a frog.

A tadpole doesn't "turn into" a frog, it's a growth process. 6-9 wks legs appear, by 12 wks the tail is disappearing and it will shortly leave the water.
