How do you write vignettes?

I need to write a vignettes for class and have no idea how to do it.

You need to form a phrase which will cover the topic which while expanding will have the entire necessary meaning. It is just a condensed story.

To write vignettes, you start with the word vinegarette, delete the "ar", slide the "ne" so it's ater the "g", and slap an "s" on the end.
