It's simple really. Firstly, you should make sure that this guy is single and available. If he is then the letter writing can be begin. Just address the letter to him and write exactly what you want to tell him. You should sign the letter with just your name. Not 'from' or 'love' or 'sincerely', just your name.

Don't get too soppy, but tell the guy that you enjoy his company, would like to see more of him and would really like him as a friend.
