How do you word 50th wedding anniversary invitations?

I don't want to seem like I'm specifically seeking presents, but I won't turn them down.

An appropriate wording could be something like, "While gifts are appreciated, they are not necessary" or "The best gift we could receive is your presence."

You don't mention presents of any kind on the invitation. Most people when invited will bring a present. Asking in anyway would be considered tacky.

Being married for 50 years is something to rejoice about. We would like to give thanks and celebrate with those in our lives to matter the most to us. We hope you can attend.
