How do you wind a bobbin?

I am just learning to sew and can not get the hang of winding a bobbin.

Your sewing machine should have a special threading diagram for the bobbin winder. The key is to arrange the thread, put the end through the hole in the bobbin reel and hang onto the thread end as the bobbin begins winding. Stop after a few seconds, clip the hanging thread, then continue winding. Many machines have an automatic stopping mechanism.

Find out if it's clock wise or counterclock wise. Wrap it a couple of times around the bobbin to get it started.Place on bobbin winder, engage and wind the bobbin.

This is different for each type of machine. You should have a guide book that show you where and how to wind the bobbin. This can be done at the top of the machine as well as in the bobbin holder.

Most sewing machines have a little device on them that you place the spool of thread on one peg and the bobbin on another. From that you place the end of the thread on the bobbin and press a button and then it is on the bobbin. I hope this helps.
