How do you unlock a bathroom privacy lock from outside?

If the doorknob has a hole in the middle you can unbend a paperclip and use that to push in the hole. That will pop the button. If the doorknob has a slot, there is usually a key that looks like a flattened allen wrench that works the same way. We always kept it on the frame above the door.

There are 2 different types of locks. One simply has a slot where you can fit a coin or flat blade screwdriver. A US nickle works best on my bathroom doors. The other type has a small how that you fit a key in. The key is a small flat screwdriver. Usually people keep them on the door frame.

If it's the kind with a hole in the middle of the doorknob, unbend a paper clip and stick the end in. Good luck.
