You can't really "trouble shoot" a rear suspension per say. There's a very limited amount of things that can be wrong with it. It's either busted or it's not. You'll just need to replace it.
Troubleshoot is a very broad word. I can not help you if you are not specific with the question. Bring your vehicle to the nearest shop and show them the problem.
