How do you transfer your programs to a new computer?

It depends on the size of the programs. The easiest way to transfer small programs is to email them to yourself and download from another computer. Medium sized programs, use a flash drive, a small, cheap USB device. Bigger programs, use a CD/DVD or multiple CD/DVD's. Beyond that, you will have to network the drives.

When I got my new Imac I had a Time machine backup of my old computer and I just connected it to the new computer and it loaded all of my programs and data in less than an hour.
