Modern operating systems (Mac OS X, Windows XP, Vista, 7) normally include the necessary drivers for this process. You will need to identify the available interfaces on both camera and computer and obtain an appropriate cable (e.g. FireWire/1394, USB) to connect them. Upon connection, the appropriate program will normally open.

Well usually a camcorder comes with a cord that connects your camcorder with your PC, if it's not there you can get it from a local store. Once you hav connected it , a drive will show up in "MY Computer" open it an d copy paste files

You'll need cords to connect the camcorder to the computer. If you have a newer camcorder, and it records on a SD card, you can just use a card reader.

depends on the camcorder and the pc. If you have a newer camcorder then the cords should still be with it and it will usually take a firewire cable. Make sure your computer has a firewire port. Older computers/ camcorders may need to use something like pinnacle software and converter.
