How do you take care of acrylic nails and do your own fill in's?

When removing polish from acrylic nails, you cannot use nail polish remover with acetone in it because it will lift the nail. If the nail is beginning to grow out and a fill in is needed, a simple 'do it yourself' would be changing the polish, painting your actual nail as well as the acrylic.

There is a good chance that your local Beauty supply store will carry the fill in powder and acrylic paint to use and both come with directions.

Maintain acrylic nails by wearing gloves when doing house work. To fill acrylic nails , buy a kit. Dip small brush into acrylic liquid, and then into the powder, a ball will form on the tip of the brush. Brush this ball of acrylic over the nail starting where the nails has grown out and shape, dry,buff and polish

As far as I can tell the ped egg is safe to use. Just be careful no to rub the skin raw, and make sure to keep it clean.
