First you must take it to the veterinarian and make sure it is indeed broken. The vet can set it and put a cast on the leg. Depending on how bad the break is the dog may be able to walk with the cast. If not you will just have to be patience and help your dog be comfortable.

First make sure the animal keeps the leg dry, use a plastic bag to put over the leg and use a hair tie to secure it .Help the dog outside to do it's duties then bring in and keep him fairly confined in a warm cosy place.Soft music helps them.

I am assuming you are asking how to care for it after you have visited your veterinarian office. You dog will remain frustrated for awhile as his/her mobility has been limited. Continue to follow your veterinarian's instruction and keep him/her as comfortable as possible.

You have to baby a dog that has a cast on his leg. Pet him a lot and give him lots of attention.
