How do you structure a speaking outline?

I don't want it to be too involved, but I want to be sure to cover everything.

I would first write out what I was going to say. Then, I would go thru each paragraph, outlining key areas in the paragraph to be sure to talk on.

The structuring of a speaking outline begins with the main point you are trying to make. Then breaks down into relevant parts, and ends with a closing point.
