You are not suppose to bleed between periods. If you are then you need to go see your family doctor.

spotting between periods may last for 1- 2 days. It represents an endometrial lining caused due to unstable hormonal levels which do not support it. The other causes can be excessive medication, stress, excessive exercise, obesity or weight loss. If the problem persists for more than two days or repeated months then contact a gynecologist immediately.

Spotting is very common in a lot of women. It's a good idea to consult a doctor about spotting. Be sure you are taking your birth control pills regularly, and try to stay away from medicines that may cause spotting.

Spotting between periods isn't uncommon, it may be caused from stress or from birth control. If you have just started your bith control give it a few months and it will stop. If you are stressed then try yoga or mediation to destress. If the problem persists consult a doctor.

You may want to talk to your doctor about changing birth control pills so that this does not happen again.
