Some studies have shown that smoking can be linked to premature gray hair, as well as some intestinal conditions such as Crohn's disease.

You can't stop gray hair from growing! Gray hair is a fact of life, and if you stop gray hair from growing you will stop ALL your hair from growing- it is one and the same now. You can purchase temporary hair color to cover the gray, but you will never stop it from growing!

Stopping gray hair from growing is basically impossible because it is just like stopping aging. As a person gets old, the hair also loses compounds that maintain its natural color, thus graying occurs. It is best that dyeing your hair to its original color can mask the changes that occur.

Grey hair may be caused by a vitamin B12 deficiency or a thyroid problem. Talk to your doctor to check your thyroid checked and about your B12 levels. There's an Indian remedy called amla that involves making a paste and regularly massaging the paste into your dry hair - it's hard to get out of wet hair.
