If you weren't invited VIA email don't respond this way. They may not get your Email. Just simply send an email saying that you're attending.

Was the RSVP sent via email? If not it's considered rude to respond in that way. If so, respond in the manner you would with a regular RSVP.

You should respond to a wedding invitation in kind. That is, if the invitation was mailed, respond by mail. If it was e-mailed, respond by e-mail. If you respond by e-mail, do not change the subject header, as this will confuse the recipient. If you decide to respond by e-mail because of a late decision, make your subject header clear.

The invitation should offer you this option by including the email address. If it does not (and a lot will depend on how formal the occasion is), then you should not RSVP by email. If the affair is very formal, a written response is really the only correct RSVP. The telephone runs way behind but is better than an email.
