The best thing to do is to twist the old antenna off counter clock wise and then you can install the new one by turning it back on clock wise.

The antenna itself is a screw-in part. Simply unscrew the antenna from the roof mount and screw in the replacement. If the mount is broken, you must remove the interior dome light; it is just snapped in place. After removing the cover, you will have access to the mounting bolts. Remove the old base and attach the new one.

You must remove the screw in the light on the ceiling and then remove the entire light fixture. There will be a nut that you have to take off for the antenna and just pull the antenna off if it doesn't fall off when you take the nut off.
