Check the owner's manual for the exact information, but essentially you open the hood and disconnect the wiring harness. Pull off the seal cap and expose the light assembly. There is a small bracket that holds the light in place, disengage this bracket by moving it to the side and then back. Remove old bulb insert new bulb.

You should be able to just unbolt the headlight and then disconnect the headlight wires. once this is done you should be able to just pop the headlight out. i reccomend geting the hayes repair guide for your vehicle it is around 20 dollars but is well worth it. it goes over almost everything and is easy to understand

Open the hood and remove the plastic cover over the headlights. It just snaps off. After this, you will have easy access to the headlight. Just unscrew it.

it requires accessing the headlamp assembly. It requires a clean rag and replacement bulbs. The Trooper uses 9004-type bulbs for both beams; The bulb replacement procedure take you about 15 minute.
