Take off the hoses and fuel lines of the carburetor. Be sure to mark all the hoses so you can reattach later. Remove the nuts to the intake manifold. Now remove carburetor by lifting it off. Now not all carburetors are the same you may need to salvage some pieces.

To replace a carburetor, drive your car to the nearest mechanic, and let him do his job. He is the professional and knows what he's looking at when he looks under the hood. Home attempts at car repair can be dangerous and more trouble than they're worth if you don't know what you're doing.

first of all remove pipes and hoses from the carburetor, then remove all the nuts, put the new gasket at that place and tight all the nuts and join fuel lines and all the hoses.
