The bumper on most vehicles is held together by 3 - 4 bolts. You're going to need either the right size matching socket or a crescent wrench if you've got the arm strength for it. The bolts are located on the underbelly of the bumper.

Looking at the bumber from underneath the car, use a star head screwdriver to take out all of the screws. make sure all screws and plastic clips have been removed before pulling out the fascia.

The placing of bumper to body fasteners varies greatly from car to car. In general, though, there are three things that hold on the bumper. There will be screws/bolts under the tailgate, and on the underbody. There may also need Torx or allen wrenches, and most bumbers have plastic tabs.

Removing the rear bumper to any application always consists of the same things. The bumper clips, they are located in the rear fender well, and under the rear side of the car. Take a fork and remove to two center prongs, it makes the best puller!
