Your best bet would be to hire someone who actually knows how and what too do, else you will have to look it up online or you could void warranty.

Look in the instruction manual that came along with the maytag performa. You will need some tools, if you cant find it manual, check online on their website.

In the area where the arms join the body you'll see two screws. Just get a phillips screwdriver and undo these two screws.

This is odd because are you referring to the Washer, Dryer, or Dishwasher. Assuming you are talking about the dishwasher, the plastic top of the arms should be removable, and then some small screws will be found underneath.

I wouldn't do this if I were you. Maytag offers an incredible repair and warranty policy. The only catch is you can't so much as move your Maytag on your own without voiding the warranty and repair features. Best bet, call Maytag!

I have a Performa Maytag dryer and the hot air stopped working. When we pulled it out to troubleshoot, we found a lot of lint and a bird (dead). Didn't seem like he'd been there long, but after thouroughly cleaning it out and replacing the duct for hygenic purposes, we still can't get it to work...

If it is the same as my Maytag, the "clover leaf" looking tab will unscrew the arm completely. It is a bit difficult to grasp but it will screw out conterclockwise.

You will need to unscrew the nut above the spray arm and remove from upper spray hose to remove the spray arm
