First use the regular bathroom cleaning products. Try the same stuff you put in your dishwashing machine, such as detergent and rinse aid. Try using goo-gone, or lime-away. Use some sort of cloth or sponge that has a rough side, but that does not scratch the finish either. Maybe rubbing salt and bleach will work, who knows?

Make a paste out of vinegar and baking soda. With a toothbrush, go around the edges of the shower door to get rid of stubborn stains.

I would go out and get some Lime-Away. You could also try vinegar, or lemon juice as well. You could try half ammonia and half water, if you choose this method just be sure to rinse it well and flush your pipes good afterwards.

There are many over the counter cleaners that can remove hard water stains. One of these products is CRT. Be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves when cleaning with this type of cleaner.
