Active attic ventilation systems (power fans) usually provide a thermostat mounted near the fan unit. The thermostat provides an adjustment knob to set the desired temperature. This knob may be recessed and require a screwdriver to perform the adjustment.

todays technology any thermostat should continually regulate itself when set to desired temperature. A connection between a thermostat and a central controling unit can be made to regulate easier.

You are going to need to set the thermostat at what you want the attic to be at all times. It should stay there at that temperature. If not you are going to need a new thermostat. You can get a temperature reader and put it up there to monitor it and make sure it works.
