Raising a baby parakeet is challenging and very rewarding. They require a cage large enough to get sufficient exercise. Seed is great for them but they also need other food, such as millet, raw green veggies, or even what you are having. Plenty of water at all times and lots of love rounds it off!

The youngest baby parakeets need a soft nest made from tissue paper in a plastic tub. This needs to be cup-shaped to support their bodies. The first two days after hatching, you can feed the nestling on sugar water. After that, they can manage kitty kibble if it has first been soaked in water.
