Must provide proof of children you have, proof of citizenship and proof of income. Contact your local welfare office. Caseworker will review your claim and eligibility will be decided.

TANF is a form of temporary welfare. You must have income below the poverty line and children under 18 years old whom you support. You cannot be receiving Social Security Disability or have assets over $3000.

The application for TANF includes a review of the family's circumstances, including rent, utilities, income of the adults, how many in the household and other relevant bits of information. Each case is evaluated based on set standards and perimeters. The assistance is then awarded accordingly. The caseworker can explain in greater detail.
