Wait until they have finished fruiting, then with a sharp pair of pruners trim the plant in such a way that gives the shape you like. Trim branches back to a new fork - where a leaf or a bud begins. This will help to encourage bushy growth. Avoid taking more than a third of the plant.

Take off volume from the trunk. Leave enough branches outstretched and prune those branches without cutting off flowers and buds.

Prune before the tree blooms. Remove any dead or damaged,or weak limbs first. Next remove any cross over limbs, or limbs that rub together. Do more pruning in the middle of the plant to open it up for more air flow. This helps stop the spread of fungus.

Whatever you do cut only the stick parts that have no green on them other than that they will continue to grow and be fine they aren't really high maintainance at all.

Well you can prune it by making sure you cultivate the soil. Horticultural sprays may also help you prune this plant as well. You should also pay attention to the watering patterns.

You need to prune a lime tree before the blooms begin to emerge. Typically, choose any time between the months of January and March. Using a sharp tool, cut away any branched extending across the core of the tree and any dead branches.

Use common sharp pruners to prune atert he fruit is harvested. Cut the suckers coming from the bottom of the plant base as they appear and remove all the smallest branches to give the larger branches enough light to produce fruit and avoid diseases.

Prune your lime tree anytime prior to blooming. A good time to prune is early spring or late summer. To keep the tree from becoming too large, prune every year or two. Before pruning, remove all dead, diseased or weak branches. Prune to the base. Use sharp pruning shears. Prune enough of the tree for the sunlight to shine through.

Well, you can just cultivate it according to how you would do most plants. You can prune it by digging through the soil and planting in new soil every three weeks.
