First off, Google for "fruit tree propagation". You'll have to decide what method you want to use; there are plenty of online descriptions. In general, you can buy enzymes that encourage root growth at gardening stores, and you'll probably need to buy a root stock to encourage your new tree to be healthy and disease-resistant.

Trailer gal, You might be interested in my experience with rooting a variety on it's own roots. A few years ago I buried a young apple tree so that it's grafted rootstock was below ground level. Then I heaped dirt around the young trunk and kept it well watered. It developed roots.

Take several cuttings from just below the "Y" insert them into a vase with a small amount of miracle gro. Keep the saplings watered and in good light. In several weeks they are ready to plant in a small planter.
