Peek-a-boo is always a winner. You can use your hands or a small blanket. Chasing baby or letting her chase you is fun for her. Try letting her clap your hands. Once she claps them a couple of times, clap your hands quickly. "Read" books by letting your niece turn the pages and point at pictures that you then explain.

When you get over to her house look at her toys you should be able to figure out what she likes. Also ask her parents what she loves. If your niece is walking, there a tons of things you can play with her. They love playing ball, chasing bubbles, having you read to them.

You can do lots of things babies love to look at books, play pat-a-cake,use shape sorters,or just simply hold them and point out their nose, eyes or mouth.

Babies are great to interact with at all ages. Specifically, at fourteen months old, you can read books, play in the bath with squirt toys and sing songs. At that age they are very interested in people and learning new things. The best advice I have for you is to lay out a blanket, add toys and play!
