First, fill the tray with potting soil that is free of clumps, pack this down and moisten the soil with water. Place the seeds on the soil, spacing them according to the instructions on the packet, then cover those seeds with a light layer soil and press down with your hands. Germinate according to the packet instructions.

Make sure the tray you are using is deep enough to begin with and then put some good potting soil and when you plant your seeds and when you do that you need to make sure that you read the back of the seed pack very carefully before you plant them.

A mix of Pearlite, Vermeculite, and Peat Moss is a great seeding mix. Following the directions specifically on the seed package will ensure germination.
