No. Do not do this at home. You need to go to a jeweler or a place/person that buys gold. Gold melts at higher temperatures and it would not be safe to do this at home. YOu need to go to a professional to request that this be done, as they have proper equipment and tools.

i think you cant do this in your home.. only goldsmith knew the melting range of gold.. it is taken in a sand container heated and melted use some salt elements..

No this can't be done at home because gold is a metal and it is safe only when you should melt it only through jwellers only. Gold is melted in the techniques of heating. You can do one thing,before melting weight your gold and after melting weight it again. The difference will be seen in front of you.

To melt gold use soldering tool appliances,the solder should heat with 1310/1450 degree Celsius or 710/787 degrees Fahrenheit this much heat is enough to melt gold.
