How do you make the decision to take the person off of life support?

You need to weigh the situation and figure out exactly what the chances are for the person to live a good long life if they ever come out of the coma.

The person will either have a DNR, but you should consult a lawyer and also talk to your doctor about it. If the person is brain dead then you must decide whether or not to keep that person on it. But if the person isn't brain dead then I don't think you can.
