How do you make sure your amp and subs go together?

When you look at you amp it will tell you the ohms and watts that it will put off. Then look at the subs and see what it will take. Make sure you are not using too much or to little ohms and watts. If you do, you can blow up your sub.

There's only a couple of things you need to worry about. First, make sure your speakers can handle the peak output power of your amp, or you'll pop them. Second, it's very important to get the polarity correct from your amp to the speakers or they won't sound worth a crap because they'll be out of phase.
