How do you make an outside fire pit of brick?

I think it would be nice to have a fire pit in the backyard.

You will need a clear flat area without overhanging branches which would catch on fire. Dig a pit down about 6 inches of the size you desire. Line the sides and bottom of the pit with bricks. You can do this with dry bricks or use mortar for a more permanet fire pit.

first calculate the area required ,then first locate the fire area and then the surrounding area. now create an outlet for the fire so that the air can be exhausted from this. create a surrounding level upto a mark so that a child must be safe from this and no one gets harm

Time, patience, and a well-defined plan with complete measurements of the end product. I would also use fire retardant materials.

Find a good spot, dig 1' deep. Lay the bricks at the bottom of the pit so the burning wood will not be laying on the soil. Have the outside of the pit exceed the surface of the ground and the middle 25-30 inches below ground level so the wood will have a place to burn, and help block wind!

You will have to dig a hole the diameter that you would prefer. Make sure that the hole is deep enough where the contents of your fire won't jump out and burn it's surroundings. You then line the pit with bricks and you are done!
