It is very important to maintain your pool. If you pool is concrete make sure that you put calcium in your pool in addition to chlorine, chlorine tablets, and acid. The calcium prevents the floor and walls of the pool from being eaten. I found this out in my old house when the floor of my pool started deteriorating.

Concrete constructed swimming pools require much tighter controls of the pH, acidity and alkalinity as well as being prone to algae growth at a greater rate than plastic or other type liners.
