To lay square laminate flooring you have to first make sure that your under-flooring is flat. Any imperfection, no matter how slight, will be noticeable through the laminate. Then depending on the laminate, you will either remove the backing and lay the floors down keeping the edges even, or first apply an even layer of adhesive then lay the laminate.

Measure the floor tile and the floor itself. Start in the middle of the floor and work towards to the edge. If you cannot use a full piece on the edge, then cut the flooring down to fit the edge. Trim the edge with wood that is the color of the laminate floor.
