Being successful is when you have accomplished your goals in life. Mostly used in terms of having more than enough money for your needs, it can also reflect non-material goals.

The definition of success is up to each person to define on their own. For some it may be making a certain dollar amount, while for others it may be operating their own business. For many success if simply making it on their own by doing things like owning a home, having kids and be able to provide for them.
