There is no right or wrong answer about what wine goes with what food. A general rule is that if the food is light, you would drink a lighter wine, like a white wine. If the food is heavy or hearty, you would drink a hearty red. You should try different wines to find out what you really like.

The general rule on pairing food and wine is that white wines go with lighter meals, chicken, and fish. Red wines go with red meats and heavier meals.

Basically, i fell that most people don't know to match their wine with their foods other than that red wine goes with meat and that white wine goes with fish. Other than that i believe it is down to the wine tag price and the preferable kind of grapes or product brand or the country it was made in.

Traditionally, red wine goes with meats while white wine goes with fish or pasta. However, the best way to match wine is really just to follow what it is that you personally like. Not everyone enjoys the same things, so follow your own personal flavor palate. You can ask people in the wine store for suggestions as well.
