How do you keep weeds out of marble chips?

Weeds are a constant battle. You should get yourself a bottle of Roundup. Spray all of the cracks. When the weeds die, pull them out.

Before you put down the marble chips, put down some black plastic covering over the ground you are covering with the chips. This material is made especially for this purpose. You can buy this plastic ground cover at most any garden center and even at Walmart. Be sure to cover the entire area under the chips.

At the beginning of the spring season a spray of weed begone will do the trick. This will kill the weed at the root and it should not grow.

Use a weed barrier fabric under gravel or a corn gluten. it works well when water is being poured on it. it will stop the weeds from growing and will also stop the seeds from giving the surface germs. periodically you should rake the gravel.

You could use a weed barrier fabric under the marble chips and also treat with a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent seeds from germinating in the chips after being blown in by the wind or elements.
