I want to put in spot lights that will turn on when someone comes near them, motion detector lights and need directions.

Motion detector lighting is available at all home-improvement stores. You will need to contact an electrician regarding adding new wiring from your circuit-breaker box to the location of the lights.

The best thing to do is to get motion detectors on the lights and install them where your existing lights are. It is the easiest way to do it.
