Dachshund are very easy to train and active dogs so the only way to housebreak them is to always keep them busy! Try to give them plenty of toys or things they like to chew,some old shoes While you are with him try to spend some time tiring him physically&mentally by playing tag war,fetching so when left alone with be tired&sleep

You can keep them in an enclosed space with an area assigned for them to use the restroom and also you can bring them oustide at various intervals.

Watch closely to see when your dachshund needs to go. Take him out immediately, and say, Go Potty. Praise him when he goes. Be very consistent, and be patient.

Try keeping it in a kennel at night and when you're not home. Take the dog out frequently during the day to prevent accidents.
