Determine at least two points from which the piece can be hung. Secure the hardware with anchors unless you can drive into the studs. Hang the piece and then secure it by tying the hanging rings to the wall hardware with wire to make sure it stays put.

The best way to hang large heavy pieces would be by bolting them directly into wall studs using screws. If there aren't studs use drywall anchors.

Try to place the decoration in the middle of the length of your chimney above the fireplace (fireplace to ceiling) making sure that its centered correctly. Make sure to drill adequate amount of holes and use masonary screws or hooks so that the wall decoration is mounted securely and won't fall.

Wrought iron wall decor tends to be heavy, so you should use a stud finder to find the studs in your wall to hang the iron from.

Always use heavy duty hanging supplies when hanging large objects. Be positive you are screwing into the studs and use more support then you think needed.

Check out Home Depot or some other hardware store for sturdy hooks to attach the wrought iron. If it's brick above your fireplace, you might need something special so the brick doesn't get ruined. Any hardware store should be able to assist you.

3 possibilities: 1, You need masonry fixings like hooks, screws and rawlplugs, ensure the fireplace structure is suitable for screwing these into. 2, Suspend cable wires securely from the ceiling to attach the iron pieces to. 3, Mount the iron pieces onto a painted wooden or MDF board and attach this to the wall.
