Make a solution of bleach, laundry detergent and water. Dip a sponge into the solution and scrub the mold with it. You will need to repeat the process several times. Rinse with water using separate sponge and let it dry completely.

Mix bleach and water in a squirt bottle then spray it on the infected area. If it's larger, use a towel dipped in bleaching solution to wipe the area. Make sure you're wearing a mask to avoid inhaling any spores while cleaning.

Fill a well washed-out spray bottle with a solution of 3/4 water and 1/4 bleach and spray on the mold. Test a small area first to ensure that the bleach will not damage the surface. When you are finished, wipe with a mild detergent. To prevent the problem in the future, try to find and eliminate sources of moisture.

There are several cleaners on the market which will remove the mold from walls. Lysol makes a great mold and mildew remover which you should be able to pick up at your local grocery store. It should be noted that these mold removers can cause discoloration in your paint so test it in an inconspicuous place before fully applying.
