You first need to square off the area that needs grading. Then remove all dirt clods and rocks from the area. You'll then want to level off the soil so it looks flat, using the flat side of your rake. Repeat process if unsatisfied.

Without a bulldozer, this is a major labor-intensive project. You should have a load of topsoil delivered to your driveway. Use a wheel barrow and shovel to tgransport and deliver the soil to the low spots and depressions in your lawn. You may remove turf and replace or reseed.

When you are grading a lawn, the first thing you will have to do is till the land and remove all of the grass and weeds that are lying around in the ground. This will help the lawn to aerate and filtered the yard so you are able to plant for grass on the ground.

When grading a lawn, you must first determine the slope of the lawn. The ideal slope allows water and erosion to travel away from the house.
