How do you go about getting over a nervous breakdown?

Is there a medication or special treatment for a nervous breakdown?

It is very important to be under a physician's care when you are recovering from a nervous breakdown. You should be attending counseling, too. There are some anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications that your doctor might think is appropriate.

Therapy or some kind of structured counseling would be best. This will give you tools to start putting things together or make a new start. Medication can help with anxiety or depression related to a nervous breakdown but it doesn't fix things, it just 'greases the wheels' for you.

To get over a nervous breakdown one must try and figure out what triggered the breakdown to begin with. You can try seeking out help by talking to a therapist.

You should consult the psychiatrist. There are many anti-depressants available to help. Counselling has been shown to wor in getting over the nervous breakdown as well.
