How do you get makeup stains out of clothes?

Depending on what the fabric is, you can try hydrogen peroxide, bleach, rubbing alcohol, or ammonia. Oil based stains like lipstick will sometimes respond to a pre-wash. Blot stains rather than rub.

I have had the best luck by either using Noxzema or Oxi Clean. Just rub a bit on the stain, and rinse in warm water.

If the clothing is stained with water based makeup that should was out with regular laundry. If the make up is oil based, depending on the fabric, you may need to try dry cleaning or a stronger cleaning solution. If you get a lipstick stain, hairspray will sometimes work, spray directly on the spot wipe off after a couple minutes.

Try rubbing at the stain with nylons. The friction will often take out stains from blush, powder, or foundation. Lipstick can be removed using mineral spirits, but be careful of colorfastness and don't allow the mineral spirits to come in contact with your skin.

First try rinsing the stain out with warm water. Then apply a pre-treater to the stain and let it set according to the package instructions. Then wash it how you normally would. You may need to repeat if the stain does not come out in the first wash. Good luck!
