How do you get a rat out if it's stuck on your couch?

Leave some food out close to the rat. He will eventually work himself out in order to get to the food. Most healthy wild animals can usually free themselves. If he requires a person's aid, then first distract the rat with some food. Then, while wearing gloves, quickly disentangle the rat from the couch.

Take the cushions out and grab it. If it's under the couch just move it. Just make sure you don't leave the rat where it is.

My rat got under my couch and we cornered her! We also put a cereal box open and laid down so that she can come out and have a snack!
