Enroll in a forklift training class. You will be required to complete a written and two physical tests. After you pass your tests you will receive a license.

In order to get a license for a forklift you would first take a written an exam. Secondly you would need to pass the first physical portion would be to inspect the forklift. Finally you need the second physical portion which would be to actually operate it and show that you know how to properly use it.

You have to pass a test.Some company's offer their own.Take A heavy machine Training course in your state or county. You will also need to be licensed for the different forklifts. The license covers the stand-up forklift and the sit-down lift truck. You will also be tested on both a gas and electric sit-down forklift.

It depends on your-specific-state's motor-vehicle regulations; most CDL Commercial-Driver-License holders are "permitted" to drive/operate a forklift.
