It can be very difficult to learn how to French braid hair at all, much less master it on yourself. The best way to learn is to watch an instructional video, such as on YouTube.

Very carefully, I recommend standing in front of a mirror and just start the braid at the top and work your way down adding a piece of hair everytime.

start by reaching back and taking a section of hair from the crown of your head. It should be a small fistful.With your free right hand,take a smaller section of hair from above your right ear. With your free left hand,take a section of hair from above your left ear.Continue steps until you have reached the base of your neck
